Neoclassical — interior design style for projects in Riyadh
نيو كلاسيك
Classical proportion with lighter ornament, read today.

Attributes
Character and background
Neoclassical draws on the classical architecture of Greece and Rome as it was revived in Europe from the eighteenth century. It keeps the order of symmetry, measured proportion and a clear central axis, and sets aside the heavy ornament of the older classic styles. Today it is read as a lighter, calmer language rather than a copy of one period.
Typical elements
Fluted columns and pilasters, simple wall mouldings and cornices, arched openings and symmetrical layouts. Palettes are pale and restrained, with marble or stone floors, plaster walls, and brass or gilded accents in the lighting and the details.
How we approach it in a project
We start from your brief and your space, then plan the layout, design and present the idea through 3D visualisation, with your sign-off at each approval point. We agree with you how far to take the classical references and set the proportions against ceiling height and room size. This sits within our interior design service.
When it suits, and what to watch
It suits those who want dignity and order without decorative weight, in spaces with enough height and width to carry columns and mouldings. We watch for stacking too many classical elements in a small room, and for ornament that makes a calm space heavy.
